Bus Schedule

There is currently no bus route available in Lake Lure.   If you desire to have bus service, then contact the Transit Administration of Rutherford County (TARC) office at 828-288-1830, and they will assist you.

 

The Transit Administration of Rutherford County (TARC) bus office cancelled the Lake Lure route because there were no riders, but is willing to start up the route again if there are riders that will use the system.  

 

The bus route makes two round trips to Lake Lure/Chimney Rock, seven days per week.   This helps those who have a little trouble getting back and forth to town.    The TARC bus also interconnects with the Tri-City Route that makes 144 stops Monday through Friday. This makes it easy to shop at Wal-Mart, take advantage of the Senior Center Pharmacy, visit friends at Rutherford Hospital, or take a class at the community college.

 

Departures from Lake Lure/Chimney Rock will be made from the Lake Lure Community Center.   The fare is only $1.00 (Please have the exact amount, because the driver does not make change).
